Catching my breath
Okay… been going full bore for several days, figured I should sit down and catch my breath.
Y’member the sock yarn shawl I was working on? Well, this is all the progress I’ve made on it:
The broad border band is well enough defined with rows of boxes. I’m still not entirely sure how I will fill up the inner body of the shawl — it’s pretty much deciding itself as I get there. Might be smaller boxes, or maybe just giant cascading chevrons. Either way, it will still be fairly simple, not complex.
In other news, about half of the Blog Reader Specials I posted over the weekend are still available, along with a lot of the assorted dyed and undyed roving. As noted on the BRS page, if you select two or more skeins, you can get a free copy of either the “Butterfly Wings” shawl pattern or the “Angel Rae” shawl pattern — all you have to do is ask. (and yes, I really need to move the BRS quickly to keep the flow going)
Oh! and see the links immediately below? Now you can share (the middle button) this post on Facebook so your friends can see. (Not sure why that one is missing an image to match…. I’m working on fixing it.)
