Big Alpaca Hanks

I’ve been waffling back and forth on what to do with these:

They are 100% alpaca in a worsted weight, single ply.  There are 3 buns, each is about 9.5 ounces, which would be more than twice my normal size hank.

If I broke them into my regular sized hanks, I’d have to first measure out the yardage, then calculate yardage for just 4 ounces and then make 6 four-ounce hanks for dyeing, then dye them up and go through the whole process.  Going through that whole process they’d be at least $30.00 apiece as hand-dyed one-of-a-kind offerings (i.e. 6 randomly dyed hanks at $30 apiece).

But I’m thinking these 3 extra large more-than-double-size hanks will knit up into a single awesome winter jacket or cloak of some sort for a special someone you probably know.   You can have each for $40 apiece.  All you have to do is ask — send me an email and tell me how many of these you want in your winter knitting collection.
