Recently, one of my long-time customers, Meaghan, was reading along here and saw the posts about the two-tone fade yarns used for creating a square shawl with interesting shapes forming from the way the colors interact with each successive round of knitting. Here

and here brain started working, and she found a photo taken on one of her trips and asked me to make a two-tone fade of this, asking me to focus on the blue of the sky and the tans of the columns.
and after dyeing, it looked like this:
and once skeined for presentation, this is how it looks:
