Let Me Askew This…
Y’member a couple weeks ago, starting the two-tone fade project?
Last night I needed that needle for something else (yeah, funny how there’s never enough needles, huh?), so I pulled the needle out of that project.
Overnight it rested and relaxed into is natural form.
Do you see the problem? The increase corners were supposed to angle out at proper 45-degree angles, like proper mitered corners.
Because of the waves of colors, this skewed shaping is NOT a “bad” thing. It’s just not the thing I was expecting or hoping for. And now that the needle is out of it, I”m not going to try and work further on it. Instead I will frog it, soak it and reskein the yarn and do something else with it. It’s lovely yarn (Knitterman’s Fingering) and I will have 2 balls of it on Wednesday if someone wants to claim it before then — and they will be already put into center-pull balls!
