Out of the frying pan…into the darkness. EEK
Well, dammit…. as much as I tried this last month, it didn’t work, and my electric was cut off this morning …just after the coffee was made. I only need to come up with about $300 to turn it back on, which means about 20 custom dye orders, or 30 Dicey Knitting sets or something… (because I have to also buy the yarn or whatever to fill the orders once my electric is turned back on– duh!)
As i mentioned before, I’ve already run out of the cones I was able to get, but that was only about 1/5 of the ones I need in order to keep a ready supply in-house, dyeing on request and ordering to replenish from the back side. Fortunately I dn’t have any new orders waiting on yarn, so any cones I get will be immediately turned into BRS, and those go fairly quickly.
Since I have to come to the library to check mail and stuff I won’t have ready access to orders until i come back here tonight or tomorrow morning. And since I use Skype for my phone, I also don’t have any access to calling anyone, or anyone calling me.
There’s gotta be a better way to do this without turning into a cut-throat monster just to stay in business. <*sigh*>
P.S. I do have gas, so I can cook. And while I wait for orders to come in I will be continuing to work on the pattern for the baby blanket, but without electricity I cannot photo and post and type up the charts as needed. Hopefully it will get turned back on by tomorrow.
