Nuance!
Ending the long journey of custom dye jobs and finding jars of leftover dyes means I have to use the dye or waste it. So I took some Knitterman’s Lace and randomly squirted dyes hither and thither. The result is a small collection of subtle-dyed yarns. Up close you can see that each is made of several different colors and shades and tints. When knit and worn, however, or viewed in the skein at a distance, it all melts into an overall color.
In most cases, this means you can take a yarn with bits of beigey-tan, or olive/sage, or some other color, and whatever outfit you wear, your shawl or scarf will likely be compatible with it.
