Two-Tone laceweight project starting
While waiting for more yarns to be available this week I will be finishing up the instructions for the crocheted shawl, but also turning this pair of lovely lace into something:
I pulled these out from a bin from last year, the yellow one was marked Primo but never got a number and never posted; the other wasn’t labeled, but I’m pretty sure it is also Primo, since I wasn’t doing Knitterman’s Lace back that far. I have an idea for a project in my head to turn it into a two-tone stole in a variety of stitch patterns.
I was planning to cast on tonight, but I just discovered the termites are swarming again. This is what I found in the bathtub a few minutes ago:
Those little blips that look like bubbles… yeah, those are termite wings glinting in the camera’s flash. This was taken about an hour after the last time I ran a hot shower to get rid of the previous batch of them. YUCK. They are currently flying into the overhead kitchen light and burning themselves and dropping into the light cover. If I turn on the overhead lights in here (under the ceiling fan) they will flitter around right over head and get into my knitting. No thank you.
But I will be charting my course for something amazing to be started in the daylight.
