Hump Day
I’ve been working on this for a few days, managed to get this swatch done Monday evening, stretched it out yesterday for photos. It is a pattern from Barbara Walker’s Treasury, but I will be modifying it for some future project to be mixed with some other stitch patterns.
I’m going to let that simmer a while, because I can ‘see’ both problems and potentials and I don’t want to rush the process. Of course, this stitch pattern, if repeated a few more times wide, and simply repeated until desired length would make a lovely stole. Or go a little wider on a heavier yarn and you have a marvelous snuggly blanket.
Meanwhile, a new load of yarns arrived last night, so all of today will be about turning those cones into dyeable hanks. I had to order more yellow in order to do the “Lava Flow” colorway recently introduced, and that dye is supposed to be delivered today, so I can start dyeing tomorrow. Plus, I need more yellow for “Mardi Gras” and there are some orders waiting on that — I need yellow in order to make Knitivity Green #1 for Mardi Gras.
The yarns that arrived last night are the Primo, Phydlbitz, K-man’s Fingering, and K-man’s Lace, but there are no pending orders for Primo at all, so there will be at least 10 BRS for that, plus another dozen or so BRS of assorted other yarns.
Also, a cone of Indulgence was ordered last night, and when that arrives next week there will still be 4 remaining unclaimed hanks so if you need some Alpaca/Silk lace yarn, this would be the time to get your order in to be sure yours is dyed right away when it arrives!
So, as I go into the brain-numblingly mundane day of turning cones into hanks, I hope your day is marvelously delicious as you consider the goodies you’ll make with the yarns coming this weekend!
