Price Increase

I received word on Friday that prices from my supplier will be going up on November 11. This, in turn, means my prices to you will go up. Phydlbitz will definitely NOT be going up, but most of the others will, by about 50c – $1.00 per skein.
I am not going to raise prices until I have to order new stock, which will not be for a couple weeks. The trick is to put in a massive big order BEFORE Monday morning so I can build inventory.
If you don’t need yarn right away, but want to lock in your prices for potential future orders, you can buy a cone and have your three skeins set aside for you to decide how you want them later. I have it set up nice and easy for my primary yarns (Phydlbitz Sock, Primo Lace, Knitterman’s Lace, and Knitterman’s Fingering), but you can also request info on cone purchases for Superwash Worsted or Indulgence lace — just email me. All of these options are on the Inventory building page, here http://www.knitivity.com/ help-knitivity/ .
The difference between buying a cone and simply ordering is that you pay approximately the same for a cone as for three skeins, but you get your skeins, and I get some extra yarn for the inventory to have on hand for custom orders and Blog Reader Specials.
When you buy a cone or two now, your skeins are set aside for the future with your name on them, so you will have already paid at today’s price instead of whatever the price may be in the future; they will stay in-house until you decide how they are to be dyed. And, you can also use your three skeins as last minute gifts for others at the holidays — just tell them you have skeins already purchased and your recipient just need to let me know how they want it dyed. And shipping is already included, too.
So, I plan to put in a big order with my supplier this weekend if I can, and I’d be tickled if I could send up the biggest order I’ve ever done, with multiple cones of ALL my base yarns. 🙂
Meanwhile, I’ve got about a dozen and a half Blog Reader Specials that were just dyed, and should be posted tomorrow, so I’ll let you know when those are ready.
Happy Yarning!
