What a difference a yarn makes
Several weeks ago, I posted a colorway done on the one-time special set of wool-rayon laceweight yarns. It began as just random segments, but I liked how it looked:
and I liked how it looked after it was skeined up:
What I liked most about it was the hazy bloom and sheen from the rayon content, which apparently took up NONE of the dye.
Fortunately I did write down the colors used, so yesterday when I had a pile of both Phydlbitz and Knitterman’s Fingering, I tried it again:
No, seriously, those ARE the same colors! What a difference a base yarn makes, eh?
These are still drying, along with all the other yarns: There are 15 Knitterman Fingering (note that there are TWO of the Channelview Sunset combination):
and 13 Phydlbitz Sock:
Most of these will be available for claiming later today, although some are already destined for the U.K. 😀
