Well, phooey!

This is part of the desired end result.  It will include personalized monograms.

Unfortunately, my initial cast on attempt is clearly not working.  I do not like the jog at the centerline.  So I will have to cast on along the underside of the toe with a provisional cast on, which will  force an inserted stitch underneath when I work through the provisional cast on.   But it’s okay — the casual observer will never notice it.  🙂
