Okay, first off… my supplier notified me that the yarn base for my Phydlbitz Sock is once again available, and my pending order should arrive here next Friday.

By way of celebrating this joyous return, ALL new Phydlbitz custom orders will be $18.00 per skein until March 15, 2014!

And, a couple days ago I dyed the only two custom orders that needed to be done.   Yeah, just two.   And I screwed them both up.  I don’t know how, but I’m blaming 1 on the yarn, and 1 on my inattention to detail.

This first one is a pair of LaGrande (100% Superwash Merino sock yarn, ~340 yards each).  i took every precaution I could think of and STILL the yellow managed to attract small spots of red and some black.  The spotting only occurred on one of them, but I have to make two matching from the same batch of dyes, so this pair has to go.   LaGrande is normally $24.00 apiece, but if you take the pair you can have them for $40.00.   Just email me and ask for Rodentia OOPS #2.  (yes, this is the second time I’ve screwed up this specific order!!  Now that my primary base yarn is coming, I will do it on that, instead.)  They will be reskeined and labeled before shipping, of course.

Now this bundled pair is also claimed.  

The other mistake I made was this 3-skein bundle of Midnight Green on Knitterman’s Fingering.   You can see in the 2nd photo that there are dark parts and some even darker areas, not completely uniform, but dramatically wonderful when knit up.   The problem with these … I was supposed to do SIX not THREE, but the entire dye batch was spent on making these match, so in order to make six to match, I just have to make a whole new batch.  In the top shot you’ll see bits of lighter green also poking through, adding to the dramatic effect when it is knit up.

Knitterman’s Fingering (100% Superwash Corriedale, ~460 yards) is normally $21.00, and you can ask for one or two at that price, or take all three for $55.00.  Again, ust email me and ask for Midnight Green OOPS  and tell me if you want all three or just 1 or 2.   If one or two is taken, the bundle deal automatically goes away, of course.  🙂

And the greens are gone!
