Update
Okay, so yesterday I went to the dr. and was expecting to hear all about the bad results from the stool sample — since the nurse spilled the beans over the phone and told me the sample came back positive for blood. And was moderately freaking out over the weekend with that news.
Imagine my surprise to learn I am also now diabetic! That’s what really threw me for a loop and messed up my thoughts for the rest of the visit. And that there is circulatory issues in my feet AND I have to get some special photographs of my eyes. And take classes how to manage diabetes. Rationally, I know that millions of people live just fine and manage their diabetes quite well. There’s nothing unique about me and there will be no newly discovered diseases named after me. But even after I got home I was still shaking my head and wondering how the hell by body could do this to me.
So this will be a learning process in a different direction. And not easy for me to accept that my “healthy” eating habits haven’t been as healthy as I had thought.
Anyway, I will continue to learn what it takes to manage this stuff. And now I have a few more chores to complete all the pending work orders, and then find a way to create new money for more yarn and more ideas!
So sorry to hear this news. Just remember, it isn’t necessarily only a mistake you made with your diet that tipped you over the edge. Body parts just get tired of working properly. I hope your issues will be easy to manage and you won’t have to make too many big adjustments in your diet and routine.
