OMG What a weekend!
Expecting company to be here Sunday and Monday (because I got my wires crossed), I was surprised to have had company here Saturday and Sunday, instead. Which, of course, meant that the last-minute cleaning that I scheduled was undone when my friends from Baton Rouge showed up.
One of them, Dez, used to own Knitting Asylum, a great little yarn and fiber shop in Baton Rouge. And then her husband fell ill, one thing led to another, and she closed her shop about 3 years ago. And her husband died 3 months ago. And she had still not had time to fully liquidate her store.
This weekend she brought a carload FULL of yarns, yarns, fibers, yarns, spindles, fibers, yarns, books, needles, patterns, yarns, and fiber! We did a very quick rough category inventory last night and this morning. it will take ALL this coming weekend to photograph each item for sale. For now, get a teaser-taste of some of the spindles:
and some of the yarns and fibers and other goodies literally FILLING my workroom:

We are safely home! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. Hoping to see you soon again. It will be fun to watch the blog over the next weeks!
