Sock Yarn Blanks, First Try
Okay, so this is what I just did: Sock Yarn Blanks. They are each the same 430+ yards as my regular Phydlbitz Sock hanks, but I knitted them up on the knitting machine, at a loose gauge so they are easy to pull out. Then I dyed them as flat blanks. My work space was not nearly large enough for the type of designs I wanted to use, but as an experiment it taught me several things. I tried this several years ago, and was less satisfied back then, so at least this is an improvement.
These are now outside drying and will be ready to ship as is on Tuesday. I have used waste yarn at top and bottom, and I will be very clear which strand you need to clip and pull, in order to start balling or knitting from the blank.
They are hanging across the mid-point, so the back half is essentially the same as the side you are viewing, with only slight differences
Normally the Phydlbitz Sock is $24.50 a skein, but because of the additional work involved, these three are each $27.50 plus s/h. If you order and pay today, s/h inside the U.S. is included. If you wait until tomorrow, s/h will be extra. They are numbered B-1 through B-5, so just email me with the number(s) you want and I’ll get your PayPal invoice to you.
