Beyond Awesome, some of these are!
Okay, so I have been busy the last couple of days.
First off, almost everything you see here (almost) has been dyed with not-my-regular-dyes, but with sample packets of some other company’s dyes. Keep that in mind. The one thing I DO like about these dyes — I didn’t notice any bleeding in the wash or rinse.
Y’member last year or the year before, I did a few Quad sets? They started as full size skeins, in a mostly solid single color, each one done a little more saturated than the one before. And then I broke each one into 4 mini skeins, shuffled them around and sold them as a Quad set, with 1 mini-skein of each of the 4 steps of saturation. So I attempted to do that again. There is Espresso, Orchid, Seafoam, and a sort of Gunmetal Blue-Gray.
I’m not entirely pleased, and you can see some weird splotching on the deepest saturations of each group. Even so, one person has already laid claim in advance to once set of Quads from all four groups. So there will be 3 Quad sets from each group remaining, once I get them all dried and reskeined and re-grouped for presentation. 🙂
As for pricing: each Quad set is the same yardage as a regular single skein (1000 yards total, 250 yards in each), and will be $25.00 per Quad set. I’ll keep a tally here in case you want to pre-order and you’ll know how many are available:
Espresso – 3 avail.
Orchid –
32 avail.Seafom –
3 21 avail.Gunmetal –
32 avail.
And then I also did some regular Blog Reader Specials. There are 16 Phydlbitz Sock (#167-181) and 10 Knitterman’s Lace (#182 – 191)
Phydlbitz Sock – 75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards, $24.50 each.
Knitterman’s Lace – 100% Merino, 1000 yards, $24.00 each.
There are a couple of close-ups down below that might interest you, remembering these are NOT my normal dye products.
To claim any of these, just email me with your selections, and make sure I know your destination state or country, so I can calculate your shipping. These will all be reskeined and ready for shipping on Tuesday. (You may also include any of the remaining Blog Reader Specials!)
#166-167, and #168-169 are two different Twinsets, dyed together in the same pouch to ensure good compatibility.
Already claimed, no longer available: 168,169,170, 173, 174,184, 190
#184 (Knitterman Lace) is a smidge of palest orchid and a smidge of palest gray, alternating along the skein.
#186 (Knitterman Lace) is a similar alternating scheme with a smidge pale gray and pale gold.
#168-169 are a Twinset on Phydlbitz Sock – you don’t have to purchase them together, of course. Whatever shade of blue this was, clearly the dye particles did not dissolve until in the steamer so they both are thoroughly covered with these blue speckles, and they will make one AWESOME shawl or scarf or socks! I will not purchase from this dye company again, so I have no way to duplicate this effect. But isn’t it cool?
And this is an individual shot of #189, which is also sporting those same blue speckles along parts of the skein throughout! Very dramatic, yes?
