This will be properly named when it is presented to its recipient.

It is currently 36 inches wide, and with 3 pattern repeats it is just over 6 inches tall.  If I am for a 36×48 inch blanket, I will have 24 pattern repeats.

You can see the texture a little better in the black and white.

I was going to post the basic stitch pattern, but I think I would rather finish the entire blanket and write up a proper pattern.  Those who want just the stitch pattern can take it from the pattern when it is all done.
