Too many colors!!!
When I was stationed in Athens, Greece, my wife and I would visit the huge flea market near the Acropolis — everything from magnificent shops with every sort of treasure down to the tiniest of cubby holes where they only sold 1 or 2 products, but lots of them. In one rug shop, the vendor didn’t speak much English but had rugs of virtually every size and style. The one phrase he kept repeating as he waved his arms over first one pile then another was “Too many colors!! Too many colors!!”, proud of his available selections.
And that’s how I feel with today’s preview racks — Too Many Colors!
There are two racks for your review, with their Blog Reader Special numbers posted above. Just email me with your requests, and I’ll make a note here of the ones that have been claimed. Any not claimed will be reskeined and made ready for presentation on the Blog Reader Specials page.
First, the Phydlbitz Sock – 75/25 superwash/nylon, 430 yards, $24.50 apiece. There are no Twinsets in this, all single dyes, although some were dyed similarly. Apparently I was in a “wet” mood, as there are several that appear to have a water theme. This shot was taken with a flash, and may be a little brighter than real life.
Already Claimed: 319, 324, 329, 333, 338
All are now posted on the Blog Reader Specials page, so click over there to see which are still available
And here is a rack of BFL Sport weight, 330 yards, $26.00 apiece.
Backwards Challenge Update: Last week I requested knitters to send suggestions for new colorways, but instead of suggesting colors I asked for names, words or phrases that would evoke a particular sense or feel. There were over 30 contributions to the list, and I selected 3 that brought particular color combinations to mind. Those were also dyed, but they are not shown in the preview racks, although a couple of them were very similar to ones that are shown here.
These three will be shown separately, with their names, over the weekend, and I will ask you to vote on which one is the best name/colorway combination.
319 1st choice 336 2nd choice
Thank you
Marsha, I sent an email requesting additional information before I can write up an invoice for your selection; did you receive it?
