The “After Hours” Collection
On Thursday, someone requested a skein of “Sensatorium” on the BFL Sportweight (330 yards). “Sensatorium” is part of the After Hours Collection, and since I had some extra BFL Sportweight, I decided to do up 2 full sets of the collection:
It started as just a single colorway, “After Hours”, with colors that reminded me of walking downtown after closing time, the streets are dark except for the random reflections of red and blue neon signs in tavern windows. It has black, blackened purple, blackened blue, and blackened red (i have several blues and several reds, and I’m not saying which ones I use for this recipe). Then I got the bright idea to just use the black-purple-blue on a skein, or just the black-purple-red on another. The blue became “Sensatorium” and the red became “Luscious”. They all use the same recipe, and they all work well together, obviously.
The one skein that my friend ordered is, obviously, not in the picture, but these six have all been added to the Blog Reader Specials page. Click over there to see which once are still remaining and available. Or, if you’d like these on a different yarn base, you can order it from the Custom Dyes page — the After Hours Collection actually works better on a sock or lace yarn, but it’s totally up to you as to what base yarn you’d like. 🙂
