Okay, so the last few days I’ve been working on a dickey.  It started out to be a regular winter watch cap, but half-way through it decided it wanted to be a dickey instead.

I’ve not made one of these before, and it is clear that the back and  shoulders are wider than they need to be, and the bib front may not be deep enough.

But here it is, washed and blocking.

This pic looks awkward because I was standing funny.  The first picture shows it is more straightly squared.

Once it is dry I will try it on and then make some decisions about how to proceed for a workable pattern.  The key is to have a collar and bib that can be worn under a shirt or jacket, but not so much as to create a lot of bulk.
