An Artist Shows Her Work! — 2 Comments

  1. Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos, Ray. I know you noticed that some random oddments of your yarn is in there, in addition to a few things you specially died for her work.

For those who do not know, Lisa, who lives in Maui, has been galleried in juried shows both in Hawai’i and on the mainland. Her works are for sale (not sure about the volcano cape yet, it needs to hit a few more shows before she sells it, I suspect) but it is a magnificent piece of one-of a kind art and Ray can put you in touch with her.

Her addiction pieces represent the viewpoint of the adult child of alcoholics but can apply to other addictions as well. They can be hung on the wall or as mobiles, and would be wonderful pieces to donate for display in a treatment center.

Her nature pieces truly capture the spirit of her adopted home.

Thank you again, Ray, for showcasing her work.

  2. Thanks, Ray!

In case anyone wondered, the funky purples in the addiction piece close up are Ray’s work. I asked him if he could dye me something that looked like a bruise.

    Yes, he could.
