I have been blessed to associate with some tremendous knitters, crocheters, designers, and other fiber folk.
One of my regular customers and friend of Knitivity is Lisa Louie. Of course, she can knit the usual shawl or hat or something, but living in Hawaii she doesn’t much need “Winter Warmers”. So she creates art pieces, and she likes to get hold of my “mistakes” and “clown barf” and turn them into something truly unique. Seriously, more than once she has called and asked me for “ugly yarn”. But what she does with it is far from ugly. Like her Diamondhead piece:

Here is her Volcano Cape. You can see the rivulets of flowing molten lava, with glowing rock bubbling up here and there.
