Yesterday I dyed up several Twinsets on Phydlbitz, along with some of the Superwash Merino fingering. I am fairly happy with all of them, even though some didn’t meet my expectations.
The first rack is all Phydlbitz Sock (75/25 superwash wool/nylon, 430 yards); the second rack is Phydlbitz and Superwash Merino Fingering (100% superwash merino, 430 yards). All of the Phydlbitz were dyed as Twinsets; all of the Merino fingering were dyed as singles.
While I was dyeing, I was also singing. At one point I was singing “Delta Dawn”, and got to the part about “could it be a faded rose from days gone by?” So I had to wonder what color that might be. Turned out to be palest-almost-not-there pink combined with palest-almost-not-there gray. And it was such a weak solution that an entire jar wouldn’t adequate cover the 450-451 twinset — it came out looking like a very pale purple. 🙂
448-449 were splattered with brown and then overdyed with one of my gold color dyes.
Both the Phydlbitz and the SW Merino fingering are $26.00 per skein and will be finished drying and reskeining and ready to ship by Tuesday. To claim yours, just email me with the number of the yarns you would like. And you are welcome to include in your request any available yarns from the Blog Reader Specials page.

I mixed a little more of the dye that I used for 450-451 and used in on 452-453, along with a different combination of almost-not-there dyes
