Diana’s Spruce “Pretty Basic” Shawl
A couple of months ago I offered a gradient set of yarns … and I can’t remember where I posted the presentation photos, but Diana has sent pictures of the shawl she completed with the set I sent her. She used the Pretty Basic Shawl pattern on Ravelry (free pattern download there). The design looks perfectly suited for gradient bands of color, but can also be done with an overall color, and calls for 1 skein of fingering weight yarn. If you follow gauge it will be about 60 inches across the top, so you might want to consider getting two skeins of Phydlbitz Sock. Several Twinsets are available on the Blog Reader Specials page, as well as the rich blue Twinset I showed on the blog yesterday. If you prefer a heavier shawl, of course, you can also go with the BFL DK/Sport yarns also available on the Blog Reader Specials page.
