Hey, y’member the Dirty Mechanic colorway?   It is supposed to evoke memories of the old blue flannel rags used in the auto shop, covered with the oils and dirt that come with working in the shop.   Over the years it has been dyed several times on various yarns, and each time it comes up a little bit different, sometimes lighter, sometimes darker.

Carole just sent some pictures of socks she made from a skein of “Dirty Mechanic”, using Cookie A’s  “Monkey Socks”.  She calls these socks “Grease Monkeys”.  Aren’t these GREAT?   Really good combination to show off both the colorway and the pattern.
