Surprise Yarn

Knitivity Posted on 20 March 2017 by Knitterman20 March 2017

While doing a little sifting-and-sorting in the workroom, I found a small package of discontinued yarns that were not connected to anyone’s name, so I dyed them up.   First, there are three of the Merino Laceweight yarn, 1000 yards … Continue reading →

Yayy… More Phydlbitz Sock for your Spring Knitting!

Knitivity Posted on 8 March 2017 by Knitterman9 March 2017

UPDATE:

All of the unclaimed Phydlbitz Sock from the latest batch have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page;  click through to see which ones remain at the time of your visit.

I had a couple of special requests for sock yarn this week, so while I was dyeing those I dyed up the rest of my Phydlbitz yarns.

157-158 are a Twinset

159-160 was supposed to be a Twinset, but 160 managed to get an extra blob of turquoise where I did not intend, so they aren’t really a Twinset any more, unless you don’t mind a gloriously brilliant blob of color on one of them.  🙂    They were started as a dip-dye in the turquoise, and then dry-dyed with a brown and a brilliant green.

#165 is a version of Midnight Green.

Phydlbitz Sock is 75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards each and $26.00 apiece.

To claim the one(s) you want, just send me an email with your selections.   I’ll send you a PayPal invoice.  These will be processed and ready for shipping tomorrow afternoon.

More SWMerino DK/Sport BRS!

Knitivity Posted on 4 March 2017 by Knitterman6 March 2017

Update:  All the unclaimed yarns are now on the Blog Reader Specials page;

Yesterday I used up the last cone of the Superwash Merino DK/Sport wt yarn (280 yards/4oz), and was playing with various dye techniques.  There are a couple of Twinsets, but most of them are singles.  Learning how to make a layer of color and top it with a different color without having one bleed horribly into the other.

What can you make with 280 yards of DK/Sport wt?   Ravelry has over 25,000 patterns for you – socks and scarves and hats and even cute little tea cozies!

To claim the one(s) you want, just send me an email with your selection(s) and I will send you a Paypal invoice.  Paypal will collect all your shipping details, but I do need your state or country in order to calculate the right shipping/handling charges.

These will be ready to ship on Monday and will go to the BRS page tomorrow.

Last of the Last of the Indulgence Lace

Knitivity Posted on 1 March 2017 by Knitterman4 March 2017

ETA:  All the unclaimed Indulgence Lace BRS have now been added to the Blog Reader Specials page.  Click through to see which ones are available at the time of your visit.

Last night I dyed up the last of the last of the Indulgence Lace (not counting individual hanks held in reserve by request).   Knowing I would not be getting any more of this based, I did not concern myself with trying to make a repeatable colorway, especially since this particular yarn takes up dyes very differently from the Merino and Corriedale bases I normally use.

I have not heard from my supplier what other laceweight they will be offering, so after this batch, Primo Lace will be my only laceweight yarn.  They have, however, sent me info that they have some new Merino sportweight yarns, so I will be looking into those soon.  🙂

These were all dyed as Twinsets, and except for 124-125 and 138-139, they are virtually the same front and back.  For those two Twinsets, I rotated one of each so you could see all the colors in them.

Normally, they are $40 apiece, but if you claim the ones you want before they go to the Blog Reader Specials page on Saturday, you can claim one for $35.00 or two for $65.00 — as long as I get your email by the end of Friday.  🙂  These will all be shipping on Monday (unless I can process them in time for Saturday, of course).

Just send me an email with the number(s) of the one(s) you want, and I will send you a Paypal invoice.  If you’ve not ordered previous (or in a long while) be sure to let me know your destination state or country; PayPal will collect all your other shipping details.

Already Claimed:  122, 123, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, 141, 142, 143
