Rustic Shawl Begun
Last night I jumped right into the Rustic Shawl project and made some progress.
But I’m not sure I like the shaping here. I want a straight edge first with the extensions beginning further away from the center of the neck. So I will frog this out and start again. I also don’t want the holes down the center; I prefer a neater center-line for this, so I’ll change my increase method to form a sharper “V” in the middle.
BUT…. Because of the way I’m doing this, the front side leans more toward the green, and the reverse leans more toward the beige. It’s all knit stitch, making two rows with each color, but starting at opposite ends when I change color.
Also, I weighed the yarn balls and I think I will start with the darker blue, and will repeat the sequence of colors 3 or 4 times before I get to the outer edge.
