Harvey Update
I’m Fine! But, ohmahgawd, the water is rising!
I’ll post some pictures later, but if you’re looking at TV you’ve probably seen worse situations from other parts of the area.
For now, I’m safe at my daughter’s house just outside of Houston, enduring what appears to be a few more days of relentless rain and tornado warnings.
Until I get home I won’t know what will happen in regard to Knitivity — I’ve gotten no firm reports about the condition of my house or that neighborhood, so I’m just hanging loose and trying not to stress out. The neighbor across the street from me said she’s got water in her house, but they’re on a concrete foundation, and I’m in a mobile home high enough it doesn’t actually flood. There are leaks and structural issues, though, so there may be serious problems.
But…. it does me no good to stew over what I can’t fix at this point. I won’t even play “What If…?” at this point. 🙂
OH! I’ve been working on the Rustic Shawl. 🙂
Glad you’re safe – “stuff” can be replaced – you can’t!! Sending only positive thoughts & vibes . . . . .
Hi Ray, I started to write you and my note disappeared!!
I just wanted to know how you’re doing….I’m so glad you’re safe and dry….and hope your home and belongings are, too.
I’ve been watching Harvey all weekend, what a BUGGER!! I have a cousin near New Orleans and worry about them, too.
I hope everything turns out ok for you and your area. I know you live in Houston but cannot remember just where.
Well, take care and please be careful…I’ll watch for you to come back online and start dyeing and selling again.
Sis and I are praying daily for all you folks.
Still knitting in Michigan, Lauren
Glad you are safe. I hope you will find you home in good shape. Be careful.
