eta: 06-Oct-17 – All the yarns not claimed from the preview racks below have now been added to the Blog Reader Specials page; click through to see which ones remain available at the time of your visit. Here are the group shots of the unclaimed ones.
Just for kicks I went back a good long while and used a layering technique that I have not done in a long while, AND used mostly colors I’ve not used for a year or two.
I did do a few of the two-tone fades on the Superwash Merino Fingering, that people seem to like, but most of these — in fact ALL of the Primo Twinsets — were done with layering. They all have at least 3 dyes on them, some have 4 or 5 dyes. The magic on those is that by layering, there are many more colors created by the dyes overlapping and blending. It also makes it difficult for pooling or striping to form in any large degree.
All of these shown today will be ready to ship on Saturday — possibly Friday, but definitely Saturday. I have several custom jobs to work on between now and then, so how well those go will determine how quickly I can get these new Blog Reader Specials into the mailbox.
There are 15 Superwash Merino Fingering and 9 Primo Lace and I have indicated the Twinsets and the Singles. For the Twinsets I have rotated one hank of each pair when appropriate so you can see how the colors are sequenced across both hanks of a pair. And, of course, you don’t have to take a Twinset.
To claim the ones you want, just send me an email with your PayPal billing email address, and be sure I know your destination state or country so I can calculate correct shipping. Yes, I know most of you already know how it works, but sometimes there are new folks, so I repeat the basic info each time. 🙂
Also, the yarns that are showing are the yarns that will ship. All are one (or two) of a kind, and cannot be ordered in additional multiples. Sometimes I can replicate what was done, but with Blog Reader Specials, they are a one-time shot for these exact colors. Every now and then I get requests for multiples of a one-of-a-kind hank.
If I were to name these, I think 642-643 would be “Cupid’s Revenge” – a sprinkled mash-up of deep magenta and deep orange. Number 663 – the last Primo Lace on the rack is a mash-up of gray and ‘light-black’. 😀
Please note: yesterday’s picture was incorrectly shown as Phydlbitz Sock. The first rack is 100% Superwash Merino Fingering. All the text references were correct, I simply put the wrong info onto the picture itself.
