Rustic Shawl pictures
Okay, so I went outside a got a couple pictures of the Rustic Shawl. After taking out the blocking cord, the top did relax a bit, so it’s about 70-72 inches across the top.
It is almost entirely made of Alaska-raised domestic sheep wool, the beige is undyed, the colors were dyed by me, EXCEPT the brown tweed rustic wool around the edge — that’s a commercial yarn I’ve had in my stash since New Orleans, I think, or at least for many years and it was already balled without its original label.
It is definitely a ‘warm-keeper’ rather than a lacy fashion shawl. Designed to be a very basic utilitarian shawl that is used frequently through the winter — this will be the one you keep on the back of your knitting chair by the fire, your ‘go-to’ winter wrap around the house.
I will be deciding this weekend whether it will go in a silent action or a $5-raffle.
