Happy New Year!
It is f-f-freezing in Houston this morning. Oh Br-r-r-r-r-r.
People in much of the country have it lots worse than we’re having it, but even so it is all relative, and for Houston this is just awful.
But nevermind all that. I’m looking forward to an awesome 2018.
I mentioned I got myself a Tri-Loom recently, and my first project failed on account of not realizing a ball of black wool had fallen in with the bin of black acrylic. But I think my second project turned out somewhat better, in spite of uneven tension and other issues:
I haven’t decided whether to sell this in a blind auction or just do a random drawing to give it away. There are a couple of design flaws that prevent it from going to a straight sale. Once I am more practiced, I’ll have more confidence in producing consistent work.
Because it is so very cold, and tomorrow will be even colder, I’m not sure what I will be showing this weekend for Blog Reader Specials. My goal for this year is to have at least one batch of BRS yarns to show each weekend, and (at least the next few months) have a different yarn base each week.
