Darn Logistics!
UPDATE: All the yarns unclaimed from below have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page; click through to check there to see which yarns remain available at the time of your visit. These are the group shots:
Okay, so I dyed yesterday and tried to get the regular rack photos as well. Not worth my energy getting upset over things I can’t control (like the sun and the neighbors), so suffice it to say I didn’t get photographs last night to show you. I’m sorry.
But I got up this morning and (hopefully) redeemed myself. 🙂
In this week’s Blog Reader Specials Collection, there are 18 Phydlbitz Sock (75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards, $27.00) and 18 MCN-Sock (80/10/10 – Superwash Merino/Cashmere/Nylon, 480 yards, $30.00).
All were dyed as Twinsets, but you don’t have to claim both hanks of a Twinset. When appropriate I have rotated one hank of a pair to show off all the colors available on both yarns of a pair.
I want to especially point out Twinset 313-314. As I often do at the end of a dye session, I combined all the remaining little dribs-and-drabs of assorted dyes, whatever I used during the session, to create a single jar of dye to create a “Leftover Fade”. For obvious reasons, this ‘color’ cannot be duplicated because it’s just leftovers from a particular day, and it is never the same. I thought the grayed-green looked awesome, but was horrified when it came out of the wraps — apparently there were some bits of red dye on the counter and the pouch wrapping picked it up and deposited it on this final pair. You can see it affected both yarns. Some people suggested I dye again with tiny splotches of lots of other colors; other people said they liked the ‘beauty mark’ aspect of it. Whatever. I won’t be offended if no one takes it, as I can always use one or another technique to make it something else. 🙂
All of these will be ready to ship by Tuesday, allowing for reskeining, individual presentation photos, etc.
To claim the ones you want, just send me an email with your numbered selections.
