Big Yarns, Big Collection
Update: All of the yarns that were not claimed in the preview showing (down below), have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page; be sure to click through to see which ones remain available at the time of your visit. Here are the group shots of the yarns just posted.
It’s a larger collection than normal, started out because there were a couple of custom requests, so I got plenty of yarns for those plus some extra for doing Blog Reader Specials. 🙂
First, there is some of the SWTarghee/Nylon sport wt yarn, 90/10 Superwash Targhee/Nylon, with 350 yards per hank. Targhee is an American breed developed in the early 20th Century by the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (per Wikipedia), and Targhee wool is growing in popularity. I will probably be stocking more of it in the future.
And then there are some of the Superwash Merino worsted weight, coming in at 210 yards per hank.
I set out to do Twinsets, as these are easier for me to dye and work better for those wanting to do larger projects. I discovered, though, that being sport/worsted wt., they don’t handle as well for dyeing Twinsets, so I did most of the collection as Loners. Fortunately, Ravelry has LOADS of patterns for both sport and worsted weight yarns at these yardages, so there is no shortage of ideas for what you can do with these.
Shown below are THREE racks (I usually only have two each week), so be sure to scroll all the way down and view them all. The middle rack has some of both yarns, and I’ve tried to be clear which is which — sport wt Targhee to the left; worsted wt. Merino are the last 4 on the right.
A couple notes to help you make your selections:
#535 is a purple fade with roughly 36-inch repeats; #537 is the same but with a 72-inch repeat.
I failed to mark #540-541 as a Twinset on the photo, but it is. All the Twinsets have had one hank rotated so you can see all the colors that appear on both hanks.
#553 & 554 are mottled navy, royal, sky blue gradient fade on 72 inch repeats.
These will be ready to ship by or before Wednesday, and the unclaimed one will be shown on the Blog Reader Specials page.
To claim the ones you want, just send me an email with your numbered selections, and be sure to let me know your destination state or country so I can calculate the correct shipping/handling. PayPal will collect all your other shipping details. For international postal rates, if you’d like to get a quote on shipping to your country, I am happy to mark your selections as pending and send you a quote so you can determine if the shipping fits within your budget. I try to ship First Class Package International whenever I can, but if you want Priority International, I can do that as well, it’s just a LOT more expensive.
