Merino-Cashmere-Nylon Socks!
UPDATE: All of the yarns that were not claimed from the preview rack photos have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page with individual presentation photos. Please check there to see which of your favorites remain available at the time of your visit.
Here are the group shots of the ones not claimed:
I had ordered 6 more cones of the Phydlbitz Sock yarn base, and before it arrived I discovered I had 3 cones of the MCN Sock base (80/10/10 SWMerino/Cashmere/Nylon, 480 yards), so I pulled as many hanks as I could from those cones first, and then supplemented the dye load with Phydlbitz. Because the MCN is slightly thinner, with more yardage per 4-ounce hank, they are ideal for summer-time wraps and tops, so I tried to dye some of them in ways that would allow for depth of color without major pooling; there are some fades in the mix as well.
The Phydlbitz Sock (651-656) were all done with a limited palette — I was aiming for a prototype of a colorway (which I won’t officially name until I’m both happy with the result and convinced I can repeat it consistently). 651-652 are slightly more saturated than 653-654; 655-656 are just two-tone fades of the same blue and purple of this palette — any of these 6 would work well with the others of this set. (I also used those same colors for 637-638 and 645-646 on the MCN.
All of these week’s collection were dyed as Twinsets, but there’s no obligation to take both hanks of a Twinset; when appropriate I rotated one of each pair to show all the colors on both hanks.
To claim the ones you want just send me an email with your numbered selections, and be sure I know your location so I can calculate the correct shipping/handling. I do still ship First Class International, and I am happy to calculate the shipping/handling for your consideration before writing your invoice; I’ll mark your selections as “Pending” until you accept or decline the shipping charges, so no one else will claim your selections.
These will all be reading to ship by Tuesday.
