There’s a blanket in there!
A few posts ago I was complaining about a particular yarn company, trying to get yarn to make another blanket for my son. After the unfortunate interactions with that company, I found a different source.
It arrived today. Bigger box than I expected (my foot shown for size comparison) 🙂
This is the yarn I’m going to use: Briggs & Little “Heritage”, 24 hanks of it. That’s probably WAY MORE than I need, but that’s okay. The original was 200 stitches wide (so, roughly 40 inches wide), and as long as it took to use up all the yarn. Knowing now that it was his favorite TV snuggling blanket, I’m going to aim for roughly 40×60-ish The original was a use-up-the-yarn project that became a blanket when put to use. This time I can use a little more thought into planning.
Heritage is a great yarn. I was gifted some years ago and made hats and mittens that are still used!!
