Do You See What I See?
Awwrighty, then — the most recent Blog Reader Specials have been reskeined, and I will be packing the ones that were claimed so they are ready to ship tomorrow.
BUT….. These are the ones that were not claimed, and they are picking at my brain. Do you see what I see?
No one seemed to want the brown/neutral-based colors, OR those two mostly-green ones. And now I’m thinking …. I could split the green ones and sell two half-size hanks to be knit as contrast, and I could split the five browns into 200-yard hanks and sell as a Fade set of five minis each, perhaps with a bonus 200 yard mini hank of straight solid black or dark brown or even deep navy to use as a thin contrast stripe between bands of the other colors.
I’m not going to post these right away to the Blog Reader Specials page as I normally would. I’m just really intrigued that these in particular were not immediately claimed from the preview racks. I don’t believe in fate or anything like that, but I want to just mull it over a while because it is very unusual that all the unclaimed yarns of any single collection present themselves to me in just this way.
In the meantime, of course, if you have opinions or ideas how to best market and package these, please do use the comment box below.
Looks like foliage and mountains to me. Interesting combination.
Later,

We need to see the blanket in all of its awesomeness . . .
Thank you, Marietta… I have 3 more columns of stitches to reverse latch-up to make ribbing on the sides, and then 10 rows of garter stitch before it’s done. And then, of course, weaving in the tails from the color changes. It’ll be about another week or so before I’ll have a picture of it. 🙂
