Last weekend I ordered a goodly lot of Phydlbitz Sock, and the original tracking indicated arrival on Wednesday.  It didn’t actually get here until Friday evening, and I spent time yesterday pullling hanks from cones, which I dyed today.

While waiting for these yarns to arrive, I cast on and machine-knit another blanket, like the last one, this time for my daughter-in-law.   Essentially the same as my son’s blanket, in design, but I’m handling the side ribbing a little differently.  It’s not going any faster that the last one, but it is definitely easier because I allowed extra yarn to accommodate reversing all those knits into purls.  I took it off the machine on Friday, and now it’s a lap-job for me to finish:

Since I came up 27 hanks short last month  I didn’t hit my goal for the year of 1100 hanks by the end of November.  So I will be having a few extra batches this month so I can hit 1200 by New Years.

These are the Phydlbitz Sock I dyed today — all Twinsets, 75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards each.  They are regularly $27.00 each, or $48.00 together when bundled as Twinsets.  As always, there is no obligation to take both hanks of a Twinset if you only want one.  I do Twinsets as a convenience for those who like to do larger projects and need color compatible yarns.  My Twinsets are not always exactly identical, but always color-compatible.  I always recommend using both hanks simultaneously, alternating every 2-4 rows to minimize pooling and to avoid the obvious ‘change-of-yarn’ color shift that sometimes happen.  🙂
