How can it be mid-December already?
It seems like just a few weeks ago I was still trying to remember to write 2018 on my checks!
Well, anyway, we are closing in on the end of another year. And nearly achieving my goal of 100 Blog Reader Specials dyed each month! Just two more weekends to create 52 more skeins!
Yesterday I went a little wild experimenting with different color combinations. I am firmly of the opinion that there are no truly incompatible colors, even though sometimes you need to add a third or even a fourth color for balance to make them work together. And sometimes instead of colors side by side you have to layer them in different ways, which often creates still more colors.
Nearly all of these have 3 or more dyes applied, and most in layers rather than segment across the skein. And there is one Twinset that uses my “dump dye” technique — Literally dumping the remains of leftover dyes at the end of the dye session. That would be #1137 & 1138. And along with my watercolor technique I also used a cloud-dye method to create misty cloud-like fluffs of color.
These are all Phydlbitz Sock (75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards), and all are Twinsets, but you are welcome to take just one skein of a pair if that’s all you need.
These will be ready to ship on or before Tuesday. These are all $27.00 each, but for Saturday and Sunday you can have preview pricing at $24.50 each. And because we are so near the holidays, if you need me to ship directly to a gift recipient, I am happy to do that for you — just be sure to tell me when you make your request and provide the recipient’s shipping address. And, if you aren’t sure what your gift recipient wants in the way of knitting yarns, as always I am happy to prepare gift certificates so your gift recipient can make their own selections at any time in the future — all you have to do is ask, and I’ll make it work!
To claim the ones you want from this week’s collection, just send me an email with the numbers of your selections. Also, be sure to check out the remaining discounted deals on the Blog Reader Specials page. I have learned that with a little ‘persuasion’, I can fit up to 12 skeins of Phydlbitz Sock into a single USPS Flat Rate Priority box! 🙂 (“If it fits, it ships!”)
