As it gets warmer and my hands get stiffer, I am finding it difficult to work long stretches on the blanket, but it really is coming along.   This is the most recent picture, a few days ago, but I’ve knit more since then, just about 20 rows until the next corner — almost up to where the inner red block ends, actually, since the corners are 20 rows on each side.  🙂

I set out to do a collection of sprinkles/speckles, but color and mood swings got in the way and I switched techniques partway through.  And then, nearing the end of the dye session, Special Inspiration hit and I went in a different direction for the last few.  I never show the yarns in the same order in which they were dyed, so it doesn’t much matter at this point.

As is my custom, these were all dyed as Twinsets, but there is never an obligation to take both skeins of a pair.   Many of the speckled/sprinkled (like 424-425, 430-431, or 438-439) are great for larger-than-sock projects, like shawls or scarves, where you can knit from both hanks at once, alternating every 2-4 rows to minimize pooling and avoid the “I changed to a new ball” shift in color sequencing.   Others, done in a segmented dye technique (like 420-421, 426-427, or 432-433) when knit as socks, will usually create a self-striping spiral stripe sequence.   Those dyed in a solid or semi-solid can be used to knit all sorts of amazing projects.

Monday is a mail holiday (Memorial Day in the U.S.*), so these will be ready to ship on Tuesday.
