Happy June to you!
Well, it is obvious I missed Spring. I think it was a Tuesday in April. 🙁 We are now in the upper 80s most of the daytimes.
I was delayed in this week’s dyeing because of weather forecasts and I didn’t want to be dyeing in the middle of an anticipated thunderstorm. Even watching the radar didn’t help, as the storms that were moving my direction seemed to dissipate over downtown, and my area didn’t get as much rain as expected. Oh well…. that happens.
I thought I had a good idea for this week’s dyeing, but I discovered I was ill-prepared for what happened. My black-to-gray brindles turned to ashen browns in some places, and my Knitivity Green #1 broke down and separated even while I was applying the dye on both the brindle set and the solid fades. I have no idea why that happened. Even my fades, which normally do what I want, seem to have failed me, leaving undyed areas in places I didn’t expect.
The idea that I had was a good idea, but the execution of it failed, largely for reasons beyond my understanding. Even so, the fact that it didn’t work out as I wanted doesn’t mean it is a bad set. Someone somewhere will actually love the uneven dyes and the peculiar spotting and spreading of the dye, so I present it to you “as-is” for your consideration.
These are all Phydlbitz Sock, all dyed as Twinsets, but you don’t have to claim both skeins of a pair. And even though I was aiming for Pride colors, there’s no obligation to take a full 6-skein set. 🙂
These will be ready to ship on or before Tuesday, but are available at preview pricing here on the Blog for Sunday and Monday — $25.00 per skein. They will be $27.00 when they move to the Blog Reader Specials page.
To claim yours, just send me an email with your numbered selections.
