I don’t normally do this, but my friend Dez Crawford sent a pattern several years ago, so I thought I’d offer it up for you again — FREE with sock yarn purchase (including any from the Blog Reader Specials page!), or $5.00 just for the pattern; I will email you the PDF upon payment. It is designed for top-down construction. Here’s the introduction at the top of the pattern:
And while you’re trying to find the right yarn for Dad’s socks, you might consider some of the yarns I dyed up for you yesterday! Several dark, rich colors Dad might like!
I had originally set out to do one thing, but the yarns and my mood went off in a different direction, so I just tagged along for the ride. 🙂
Some notes on a few of them:
#472-473 is an old favorite: Midnight Green, a very dark green;
#478-479 is just speckled brown, wet dye on dry yarn;
#480-481 is a black and gray smoosh;
#486-487 is a smoosh of salmon and chestnut;
#490-491 started with a pale dirty green base, topped with a smoosh of brown and chestnut;
Smoosh, of course, is a technical term used in the industry, used for manipulating wet dye on wet yarn after it is wrapped in its pouch for steaming. 🙂
All of these are on Phydlbitz Sock, 75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards, and are normally $27.00 each. For Saturday and Sunday, you can have preview pricing at $24.50 each.
To claim the one(s) you want, just send me an email indicating your numbered selections. These will be ready to ship on or before Wednesday (probably Tuesday, but I like to give myself wiggle room in case something happens). I’ll post the unclaimed yarns to the Blog Reader Specials page on Monday.
