A little more Primo!

Knitivity Posted on 23 July 2019 by Knitterman23 July 2019

After taking care of a custom job over the weekend, I was able to do a batch of Blog Reader Specials yesterday.   I had some distractions yesterday and didn’t finish the dyeing until into the evening. You know how I … Continue reading →

Threebies!

Knitivity Posted on 16 July 2019 by Knitterman16 July 2019

Once again, my Blog Reader Special bins are filling up, and the yarns keep staring at me wondering why nobody has adopted them yet, like forlorn puppies scratching at the glass.  I’ve been pondering how to do this, and even … Continue reading →

You Want Brilliant Sock Yarns? We Got ‘Em!

Knitivity Posted on 12 July 2019 by Knitterman13 July 2019

After a couple weeks of feeling less than fabulous, I woke this morning feeling much more “alive” and ready to go, and able to dye with a fairly clear head for a change.  I’m not sure if it reflects in … Continue reading →

We Have More Primo Lace!

Knitivity Posted on 6 July 2019 by Knitterman8 July 2019

I’ve not had Primo Lace in quite a while, but now I have a small amount.

I’ve also been having troubles with the skein winder.  Specifically the digital counter that is supposed to count the revolutions as it is winding yarn.  I’d already given up on it counting rounds accurately, so I took off the drive belt and I’ve been manually counting rounds.  While I was counting on Thursday, I set the counter to 000 and started.  When I got to 218 and cut the Phydlbitz strands, I glanced and the counter was about 197 or something like that, I can’t recall.  But I kept winding off the Primo Lace to 503 by my count, and the darned digital counter was up to 533….  what the heck???  I understand if it isn’t counting all the revolutions, but how the heck does it count MORE revolutions?   And this happened several times as I was manually winding sets of yarns, so I know it wasn’t just a one-off or my mind playing tricks on me.   AAaarrggghhh!!!

No matter.  I’ve ordered a new digital counter that should arrive today (mail comes toward the evening around here lately).  I’ll have to dismantle the skein winder to install the new counter, and get it tested and everything, so I’ll do that tomorrow.

Meanwhile, even with my manual counting, I have 9 skeins of Primo Lace (80/20 Merino/Silk, 1000 yards) and 16 skeins of Phydlbitz Sock (75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards).  The Primo was dyed as singles, the Phydlbitz dyed as Twinsets.   The Primo Lace were all dyed with at least 3 different colors, creating a subtle blending rather than a bold variegation such as appears on the Phydlbitz.

These will be ready to ship on or before Wednesday (probably Tuesday), and will go to the Blog Reader Specials page at full price  when the whole collection has been reskeined and labeled.   For Saturday and Sunday,  you can get preview pricing — Primo for $30.00 and Phydlbitz for $25.00.

To claim your selections, just email me.  and I’ll take care of it for you.  As always, first-come first-served, based on the email time stamp of your request.
