Almost Autumn!
ETA: All of the yarns unclaimed from the racks shown below have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page; click through to see all the yarns currently available and ready for shipping. This is a group shot of the latest collection I just posted:
I can’t believe we’re 2/3 of the way through 2019 so soon, but here we are — September already!
I showed you in the last post the unmitigated mess in my living room, from my granddaughter helping me empty the work room. Well, now it has been partially mitigated! So many empty bins! 🙂
So a lot of sifting-and-sorting is what I did over the weekend, as well as making yarns ready on Sunday for dyeing on Monday. There are still about a dozen or more bags of personal stash yarns that I need to go through.
And without intentionally trying it appears many of yesterday’s dyes seemed to follow a theme. That might be because I was listening to a Harry Potter movie marathon as I was dyeing! 🙂
I had intended on doing some previously popular colors, like “Midnight Green” (#706-707), which turned out pretty good, and “Pearl Gray” (#712-713), which turned out more like “Smoke in the Ashes” or something. I never hang the racks in the order in which they were dyed, and yarns from both the first and second batches are mixed on both racks. But for both sessions, I did do a “Dump Dye” — using up all the leftover dyes from each session.
These will be ready to ship on or before Friday (probably Thursday) when they go the Blog Reader Specials page, all reskeined and made presentation-ready. They are each $27.00, but until they go to the BRS page, they’ll be $25.00 each. You claim them early, you save me a bit of work — a small discount because the ones claimed early don’t have to be photographed and so forth. 🙂
To claim the one(s) you want, just send me an email with your numbered requests.
