And the New Collection Appears!
Good morning, Good Monday!
So when I got up this morning there was threat of all-day rain, so I scrambled to get some pictures as soon as it was light enough outside. And now it appears the rain has dissipated and moved on, so now the yarns can stay outside getting a good all-day breeze through drying. So, yyaaaayyyy for that, eh? Mind you, our temperature is expected to reach the upper 90s so it’s not likely that I will be outside with the yarns. 🙂
Since I was pushing to get the dyeing done, just in case the landlord or electrical fixers showed up, I used a dry on wet technique that allowed for deep saturation, with a smoosh-and-schmear method which left a lot of ‘white space’. Some people don’t like any ‘white space’, especially when it looks like a splotchy bad dye job, but the white space from a schmear is intentional.
I did two dozen Phydlbitz Sock yarns, in twelve Twinsets. As always, you don’t have to take both yarns of a Twinset, it’s just a matter of convenience to make enough yarn for those who like larger-than-sock projects. And if you ever need more than two skeins, I am happy to make a custom dye job for you; all you need to do is ask.
I will be juggling between these and a custom job this week, but I expect these to be ready to ship by or before Thursday. The last two weeks when I’ve attempted to ship out yarns, it seems to take 2 or 3 requests before the mail carrier actually picks them up. I know a lot of people are struggling with the current postal situation, and I apologize for delays. I’ll do my part to get the yarns going, but I can’t promise the postal service will provide its typically good delivery service.
I hope to have these all reskeined and the unclaimed ones posted with their presentation pictures on Wednesday on the Blog Reader Specials page.
All Phydlbitz Sock is normally $27.00 per skein, but for today and tomorrow (Aug 17 & 18) you can claim each of these new skeins for $25.00.
To claim the ones you want, just send me an email with your numbered selections. There are only two of each color combination, and I anticipate these won’t last long.
All of the unclaimed skeins have now been posted to the Blog Reader Specials page. Click through to see which ones remain available at the time of your visit.
