Start of another BRS Collection
This week’s collection was supposed to have been done late last week. But there was also supposed to be someone coming to work on the electrical wiring so I could have lights at the back end of the house. Expecting people to be wandering through the house, I didn’t want to be dyeing and have it interrupted. So I waited on Thursday. And Friday. And Saturday. Yesterday I decided to tempt fate and start dyeing anyway.
So I dyed up two dozen Phydlbitz Sock yarns, as 12 Twinsets.
Considering it finally got up to 99ºF, with a heat index of over 107º, they didn’t actually “cool” very much but by evening I could handle them and get them washed, rinsed, and starting to dry on the rods. I left them overnight in the fan room.
It was still too hot to get to sleep at bedtime (trust me, I tried — sweating and not comfortable), so I got back up and started watching one of my regular Sunday talk shows on YouTube. Finally fell asleep sitting up on the couch, I guess around midnight, and was awakened around 5:00 by a clap of thunder right overhead.
I checked the weather forecast (I like Weather Underground) and saw that today is mostly rain. So, my task is to wait for daylight, and then figure when it is best to attempt pictures of the yarns in their normal setting, so I can show you later this morning the preview racks you have come to expect from me. 🙂
