Picture this!
I just posted the latest yarns to the Blog Reader Specials page. I didn’t feel like assembling the white box for taking pictures, as I’ve been doing in recent months. Taking pictures on the porch allows me to take group shots, as well as shots of Twinsets. My white box is too small for that.
Here’s this week’s group shot of unclaimed yarns.
My question is this — as you peruse the Blog Reader Specials page, do you find the porch pictures nicer than the white-box pictures, or not as nice? Is one mode easier on the eyes than the other? Does one type of background make the yarns more appealing?
I would seriously like your opinion. Many of you have been with me over the years and you’ve seen how I do things. I want to make your visiting experience as nice as I can, even without fancy equipment and extensive display options.

I like the pictures taken on your deck the best!
I like the ones on the porch boards better, but the blue/grey/tan ones don’t show up as well. Actually the colors are brighter in the whitebox.
I like the porch pictures better — they tell me how long the color repeats are. The reskeined photos make better eye candy, however, and are proabably more attractive to people who are “surfing” and to newer knitters.
