Yes, I touched them all!
Okay, that’s not what you want to hear at the sweet shop, but it’s a good thing for the Blog Reader Specials page.
Because of the snafu with the Web sites last week, I have had to correctly update the BRS page. When the tech support team pulled a restore, they restored a BRS page what was only as current as a month ago. Thus, it was showing yarns that had already been sold and shipped and not showing the more recent yarns at all. I am, of course, grateful they had any sort of back-up at all, so my task was not nearly as horrible as it could have been.
I still need to fiddle with some of the formatting details (I like to have all my dashes and boldface and other details consistently identical for each entry), but every skein showing on the BRS page has now been (again) personally touched by me to ensure it is included among the available yarns for sale. And, more importantly, I made sure there is nothing showing that isn’t actually available. I mean, obviously I have to touch each one as I dye and process them, but for today’s task I wanted to be sure the BRS page has the current and correct information.
A while back there are over 6 dozen skeins available and the BRS page was horribly long and took forever to scroll down and browse through, so I recently started showing Twinsets together as a matter of convenience to make the page load faster and scroll faster when browsing. And (as someone pointed out a while back) it makes it easier to visualize how two skeins go together, since they are pictured together instead of two separate shots. I do have individual pictures of each skein, and if someone wants just one of a pair, I can easily replace a Twinset picture with a Solo skein.
But what I want to know is this — for those familiar with how I’ve done things, is it any easier or more comfortable to view Twinsets? Or would you prefer I post individual shots and simply indicate which ones are Twins?
There is no obligation to take both skeins of a Twinset, except when I’m running a Twinset TWOS-day sale.
Anyway, the Blog Reader Specials page is back up and ready for you to click through and browse.
