What’s the Strangest Thing….
Some mid-week musings ….
Yesterday I got my Pfizer booster shot. Other than a mildly sore arm, I don’t think I’m having significant after-effects so I am pressing forward with the scheduled reskeining of the Blog Reader Specials so I can ship tomorrow. 🙂
While I’m sitting here in between the work processes, I’m wondering….
What is the strangest thing someone said to you about your fiber crafts?
Most of us have been at this for more than a minute — knitting, crocheting, weaving, and otherwise handling yarns for making things. And most of us have seen or heard some surprising things. Share your “My Weirdest Crafting Moment” in the comment section below.
I’ll be sitting there knitting, and someone will comment “that’s a lost art”. Um, no, I’m sitting here right in front of you, doing it.
And this happens a LOT.
Even more surprising to hear, “What? A MAN knitting??”
Waiting at a doctor’s office knitting a bulky yarn with 2 straights. Clearly this was a number of years ago, and I hadn’t been knitting all that long. I’m left handed, but learned right handed. I nodded and smiled at a woman whom I had seen waiting in the X-ray department of the hospital. Then she blurted out, “I just can’t stand this. I have to tell you that you are the klutziest knitter I have ever seen.”
I’m still klutzy.
Wow, that was rather rude of her.
