Deep Rich Color!
Wonderful Saturday! I hope you’re doing well today. I’ve had a great but busy week, with overlapping dye projects and custom jobs, all of which need to be dealt with this weekend for shipping on Monday. Due to space and resource limitations, most weeks I tend to work only one dyeing cycle at a time, with a day or two in between. This has not been one of those weeks. 🙂
For the last few months I’ve been doing more softer dyes, so this week I did a wet-on-dry technique with a direct application of the dye onto the yarns, which results in bolder colors. Everyone has their own preferences, so it’s nice to switch it up a bit.
All but the last Twinset on each rack (i.e., #125-126, and #137-138) was done with multiple colors in some interesting combinations that will look amazing as self-striping spiral stripe socks or some up in a pattern like my Shorty McRippleton scarf pattern. It is a deceptively simple short-row pattern that looks great in either multi-color yarns or even a monochrome fade or gradient, as shown here.
In fact, if you claim two or more yarns from this week’s collection (#115 – 138) on Saturday or Sunday, I’ll email you the stitch pattern instructions free as a ‘Thank You.’; normally the stitch pattern is $5.00.
All of the yarns this week are Phyblitz Sock, 75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards, and $27.00 each. For Saturday and Sunday, if you claim two or more of this week’s collection (#115-138) you can have each skein for $25.50, along with your free copy of the Shorty McRippleton pattern. Or just claim one at regular price and still get the free stitch pattern.
For most of the Twinsets, I have rotated one skein of each pair in order to show all the colors that appear on both skeins. You do not have to take both skeins of a Twinset; it’s fine to take just one.
To claim the ones you want, send me an email with your numbered selections. I’ll mark your requests in the order received on the Available Yarns tally chart just below. I anticipate this collection to be shipping on or before Wednesday – with fluctuating humidity it may take an extra day to completely dry so I can reskein and package these.
Update: All of the yarns not claimed from the racks below have been photographed and posted to the Blog Reader Specials page. Here is the group shot of those yarns:
