Almost Spring!
eta: 23March2022 – All of the yarns not claimed from the preview pictures have been reskeined, photographed, and posted as Twinsets to the Blog Reader Specials page. Here is the group shot of the unclaimed yarns:
Tomorrow is the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere! Here in Houston we’ve had some freezing days, but nothing so bad as others have had it. I am definitely NOT a cold weather person, but other people love it so what do I know, right?
This week’s collection is an unusual mix. After I pulled the dyes I wanted, my brain seemed to wander away (had glucose issues and a little ‘brain fog’) and I forgot what I’d intended to do. Even so I think there are some interesting combinations this week, probably in spite of my human involvement in the process.
These are all Phydlbitz Sock (75/25 Superwash Corriedale/Nylon, 430 yards each), and because I always use a limited palette, you can mix-and-match some interesting combinations for your own colorwork. Some of these are ideal for self-striping spiral stripe socks, while others would be amazing to knit or crochet a shawl, cowl, scarf or other garment suitable for spring or even summer wear. Many people work in air conditioned offices and need just a little something to ward off any drafts, and there are literally hundreds of styles available on Ravelry and other places on the Internet.
Phydlbitz Sock is normally $27.00 each, but for Saturday and Sunday, each one of this new collection (BRS22 – #242 – 465) is at preview pricing of $25.00.when you claim them off the drying racks instead of neatly reskeined with individual presentation pictures on the Blog Reader Specials page.
Twinsets are normally discounted on the BRS page, but for today and tomorrow the preview pricing discount is applied to single skeins as well, so feel free to take any number of skeins or even just one of a pair if that is what you want. There are plenty of single skeins on the BRS page from previously split Twinsets.
Because of how I dye, it is sometimes difficult to copy something I have already done, but if you need, for example, a sweater’s worth I am happy to make a custom job and dye up what you need so that all your dye yarns are from the same batch, all dyed the same way with the same dye batch. Just ask.
To claim the ones you want, just send me an email indicating your numbered selections. I will purchase and print your shipping label immediately upon payment; you’ll get a shipping notice indicating when I will be shipping. I expect this current collection to be ready to ship on or before Wednesday.
