Soft and Sporty!
Happy Saturday!
I was hesitant about this week’s dyeing because I’ve had trouble dyeing and processing this yarn base in the past — a non-superwash Merino — but it was the yarn I had so it’s the yarn I used. I was beyond pleasantly surprised and my concerns were unfounded.
As mentioned, this week’s yarns are all non-superwash Merino, sport wt., (330 yards), which will work up into some lovely scarves, hats, shoulder-wraps, cowls, etc. And because they are all solid or nearly-solid, these would work up some amazing cables or other textured stitches, as the coloring won’t conflict with fancy textures the way many of my multi-colored yarns would do.
With these Twinsets, there’s enough of any one color to make some larger-than-socks projects, but some might prefer to select non-matching contrasting colors for some interesting cabled or colorwork projects — checkerboard tea-cozy, perhaps?
Once processed and posted to the Blog Reader Specials page, these will each be $27.00, but for Saturday and Sunday, you may have any of this new collection (BRS22 – #338 – 361) at a preview price of $25.00 each.
As with all my BRS collections, these are all one-of-a-kind dye jobs, and not repeatable. As this is a discontinued yarn base, I can’t offer large quantities of custom dyes like I normally can do for Phydlbitz Sock or some of my other yarns.
To claim the ones you want, just send me an email with the skein numbers you would like. I’ll mark them off the Available Yarns tally chart below. I expect these to be fully processed (dried, reskeined and labeled) and ready to ship on or about Tuesday afternoon.
